The pirate troubadour

Well - the first order of business is to say it is too freaking hot here to do anything but sit in an airconditioned living room. BLAH! NYC is NOT set up for hot!

I had my "career coaching" today. She was very helpful helping me with ACTING. Other than that - she said my headshot, resume, way of dressing, song choice, etc...was dead-on - I just need to work on ACTING and then I'll be good to go. I don't disagree with her, and I think she gave me some very useful direction. Much more specific than Mary when it comes to ACTING. However, it was SUPER weird singing for her - as I had to sing everything a cappella - which I was unprepared for. It felt slightly unceremonial. It did allow me to not worry so much about the actual singing though and focus purely on the acting. Hrmmmm....not how to contemplate balancing her and Mary - one every other week maybe? Oh, she also told me to learn to belt. BLAH. If belting were corporeal - I'd probably punch it. She also said "you have a cross-over look. If the director wants you - you could play Julie Jordan. If the director wants you - you could play a character." Anyone who doesnt immediately say "you'd be a better Carrie" gets MANY MANY MANY gold stars in my book!:)

Dinner was delicious at the SPICE MARKET - one of New York's premiere restaurants - 4 Michelin stars! ooooOOOOoooo. Their crab dumplings were RIDICULOUS! Casey treated me for letting her stay with me. On the way home we bought window crayons - meant for drawing on windows and easily erasing - and we made a huge pirate Mural on JP's window to surprise him when he gets home!:) Mwhahahahahahahahaha!

Also on the way home a man dressed as a pirate hopped onto the train and seranded us on his guitar. He said he accepted monetary donations or ladies phone numbers. I gave him my phone number. My boldest flirtation move ---- ever. lol. He won't call - and who REALLLLLY wants to be courted by a pirate - but I thought it was funny.
